Prince George’s County resident wins with Trifecta wager
Betting that a trio of Racetrax horses would cross the finish line in the correct order was a winner for a Capitol Heights man, who claimed a $30,734 prize on Aug. 24.
The lucky 62-year-old, who remained anonymous, visited Best One Food Mart at 6306 Addison Road on Aug. 21 to place his wager. He selected the 10, 11 and 12 horses and placed a Trifecta bet for five drawings. The ponies galloped to a winning finish in that exact order in the third of the five races on his ticket.
This was the largest winning ticket sold this year by Best One Food Mart. The Capitol Heights business earned a bonus of $307.34 from the Lottery for selling a winning Racetrax ticket of $10,000 or more. The bonus is equal to 1% of the prize.
