Sometimes, you just get lucky. A Howard County man who bought a $2.40 Racetrax Superfecta Box ticket at Speedy Liquors in Baltimore had no idea that the four horses on his ticket would gallop to a prize-winning finish.

Thanks to the efforts of the No. 1, 10, 11 and 12 horses, the lucky player’s Superfecta Box bet yielded a $13,005 prize. A Superfecta Box wager requires the four horses selected to finish 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd and 4^th in any order.

The 51-year-old Ellicott City resident also brought Lottery luck to the retailer. Speedy Liquors at 7101 Darlington Drive in Baltimore will receive a bonus of $130 from the Lottery for selling a winning Racetrax ticket of $10,000 or more. The bonus is equal to 1 percent of the prize.
