Electronic ponies deliver $11,741.50 win
A trio of Maryland Lottery Racetrax horses gave a Baltimore County man an extra $11,741.50 to spend on his birthday. What a great gift!
“I am a regular Lottery player,” said the Reisterstown resident. “I play several games, such as Pick 4, Keno and Racetrax, to name a few. This is the first time I have ever won big and it happened on my birthday!”
As the father of one was driving home from work, he decided to stop to purchase his Pick 4 ticket from Franklin Boulevard Exxon in Reisterstown. He played his daughter’s birthday for his Pick 4 numbers and, with the change, decided to play Racetrax. He placed a quick-pick Trifecta Box bet and got a ticket showing horses No. 9, 11 and 12 had to finish first, second and third in any order to bring home a prize.
Minutes later, he watched the best birthday present – a big Racetrax win – appear on the Lottery terminal. He has only shared the news of his good fortune with one other person and he plans to keep it that way.
His lucky Lottery retailer located at 11904 Reisterstown Road in Baltimore County also wins. For selling a winning ticket of $10,000 or more, the gas station will receive a bonus of $117.41 from the Lottery – equal to 1 percent of the prize.
