Wins $100,000 top prize playing Crown Jewel 7’s

With a sure pep in his step, Michael Brown came into Lottery Headquarters, accompanied by his girlfriend, to claim his $100,000 Crown Jewel 7’s top prize. The 35-year-old stopped at his local Exxon last week with no intention of buying Lottery tickets. A long wait changed his mind, and his day. “As I was standing in line, the woman in front of me was taking too long so I decided to pick up a scratch-off,” said Michael.

Having never won before, the lucky winner never saw his prize coming. When he and his girlfriend of four years, Michele, got home and scratched the ticket, Michael thought he had only won $10,000. “He ran out of the house in excitement to show our neighbors,” Michele said with a laugh. Luckily for Michael, he was $90,000 short.

With his winnings, Michael plans to pay off his car and some loans from his parents. He and Michele also intend to use some of the cash for their wedding, which they plan to have in Tahiti.

The winning ticket was purchased at Singer Exxon, located at 2940 Emmorton Road in Abingdon.
