$20,000 prize makes him Maryland’s biggest winner in June 20 drawing
Adding the Power Play option to his Powerball ticket gave a Reisterstown resident twice as many reasons to smile on Monday when he claimed a $20,008 prize from the Saturday, June 20 drawing.
The 59-year-old and three other Marylanders matched four balls and the Power Ball to win $10,000. Because our winner added Power Play to his ticket, the 2x multiplier doubled his prize. He found his Lottery luck at Pikesville Chevron at 1509 Reisterstown Road in Baltimore, which was the site of a $50,019 Racetrax win claimed at Maryland Lottery headquarters just last week.
In all, the June 20 Powerball drawing created 9,569 Maryland winners. Because the jackpot was hit in Florida, the Wednesday, June 24 drawing is for a $40 million jackpot.
