Remodeler DIY’s $100,000 Scratch-off Win

Lays foundation for top-prize win by visiting lucky retailer

219-Win-It-All-ITVM_P3-purpleAlthough he had never won big before with the Maryland Lottery, a lucky Hyattsville man had the blueprints for a top prize all drawn up and ready to go. The local builder paved the way to his prize by purchasing a pair of $10 Win It All scratch-offs at a Lottery hotspot in Adelphi.

The remodeler selected 7-Eleven #11716 11 at 9151 Riggs Road due to the store’s lucky status attained by being the location of several recent big Lottery wins. “I just knew I would be the one, one day,” said the happy winner. He claimed the last $100,000 top prize in the game.

Although the shock of the win is wearing off, the 46-year-old said he still is uncertain about plans for his prize. He will probably devote most of the funds to paying bills and rent, he said.

The lucky retailer also receives some extra funds from the Lottery for selling the top-prize ticket. In addition to the great publicity, the Prince George’s County retailer will receive a $1,000 Lottery bonus. The Win it All game still has plenty of prizes ranging from $10 to $10,000. The popular game arrived at Lottery retailers in July 2015. Players have until Aug. 16 to claim their prizes.
