Retired Restaurant Owner Adds Winning Scratch-off to his Menu

Rosedale man claims second-tier prize on Jackpot! scratch-off

163-Jackpot-ITVM_P1-blueA retired restaurant owner who added the Maryland Lottery’s Jackpot! scratch-off to his menu of favorite games is $10,000 richer, thanks to a winning second-tier ticket.

The Rosedale man made the $10 Jackpot! ticket his new entrée of choice after finding it difficult to locate tickets in the Tech the Halls family of scratch-offs. Those tickets hit retailers’ stores in time for the 2013 holiday season and were hot sellers.

The Jackpot! scratch-off launched on July 28. The game, which has more than $11 million in cash prizes, still has all six of its $100,000 top prizes available along with 16 more $10,000 second-tier prizes.

The Baltimore County resident plans to put his winnings into the bank. The 73-year-old found his Lottery luck at the Tobacco Outlet at 3101 Emmorton Road in Abingdon.
