Retiree Reels in Lottery’s Ultimate Cash Bonanza

Claims top prize of $50,000 on scratch-off

228-Ultimate-Cash-ITVMA Prince George’s County retiree who picked up a part-time job to ease her money worries just reeled in a whopper of a windfall, thanks to the Maryland Lottery.

The year 2015 ended with a shower of green for the happy Upper Marlboro resident. The 69-year-old stopped at E N C Enterprises #708 in Bowie to buy a few midday Lottery tickets and, while there, bought four Ultimate Cash scratch-off tickets.

The loyal player waited until she got home from work to scratch her instant tickets. The second Ultimate Cash scratch-off gave the shocked woman the $50,000 top prize.

“I literally almost choked on the water I was drinking when I saw how much I had won,” she said. “This is such a blessing for me. Bills were starting to pile up a bit.”

Paying her house and car insurance bills is no longer a worry. “This is a great way to start off 2016!” she said.

For selling a top-prize instant ticket, the retailer located at 16501 Ball Park Road in Bowie will receive a $500 bonus from the Lottery. Lots of prizes are awaiting discovery in this $5 game, including three more $50,000 top prizes and eight $5,000 prizes.
