Routine Lottery Player Hits It Big

Wins $10,000 Powerball Prize

Powerball with Power Play“It was a good day,” said the 65-year-old lucky Lottery player after finding out that he had won $10,000 playing Powerball. The Glen Burnie resident plays his favorite games, including Maryland’s newest multi-state jackpot game, every morning on the way to work, always at the same store. And, now his daily routine has paid off.

The service manager for a leasing company found out that he had won on his way home from his job. As he often does, he’ll stop in the store where he purchased the tickets and check them on the scanner. “This time it said, see Lottery,” he said with a smile. To double-check, he had the cashier run the ticket again. “That’s when I found out it was for $10,000,” said the winner. He then went home and shared the news with his wife.

The player said he has no specific plans for the winnings. He added that for now he is going to put the money in a bank account and will continue to play the Lottery. The winning ticket was purchased at the EZ Quick Mart located at 231 Mountain Rd in Pasadena.
