Takes home Metal Money Mania top prize
When Norma Perez and her husband Sergio Morales entered the convenience store the other day, they had planned on purchasing $50 in scratch-offs. At the last minute, they decided to buy one more scratch-off. Luck was on their side that day as the extra scratch-off held a $100,000 top prize.
Before leaving, they purchased that final scratch-off, a Metal Money Mania ticket. Sergio scratched the ticket while still inside the store. “I started jumping up and down when I saw we won,” he said. “Then, I took the ticket over to the clerk who confirmed it was a $100,000 winner.”
The pair, who has been married for 14 years, plans to use the money towards a new house and pay some bills.
The winning ticket was purchased at White Oak Convenience Store, located at 11407 Lockwood Dr. in Silver Spring. Along with other prizes, the Metal Money Mania still has four $100,000 top prizes and 17 prizes of $10,000 remaining.
