Silver Spring Man Finds $20,000 Jackpot Prize Hiding at Local Store

Wins with new $200,000 Jackpot game

Finding a $20,000 winning Maryland Lottery scratch-off at a nearby 7-Eleven was simply heavenly for a Silver Spring player, who experienced Lottery luck with the new $200,000 Jackpot game.

The 44-year-old found the first of 10 $20,000 prizes in the $10 game, which went on sale May 21 as one of four scratch-offs in a Jackpot family of games. The lucky Montgomery County man claimed the prize this week at Lottery headquarters with two friends by his side.

All five $200,000 top prizes are still available in this popular game, along with 20 more $10,000 prizes and thousands of others ranging from $10 to $1,000. The family of games includes the $5 $100,000 Jackpot game, $2 $20,000 Jackpot game and $1 $2,000 Jackpot game.

Also celebrating is the Montgomery County retailer. 7-Eleven #23666 located at 9254 New Hampshire Avenue in Silver Spring is a lucky Lottery retailer and can add this player’s big scratch-off win to its roster of prize-winning sales. In 2017, for example, the store sold a $50,000 winning scratch-off to a Delaware woman and in 2016 sold a $100,000 scratch-off to José Garcia of Silver Spring.
