Silver Spring Man Hides Winning Ticket for Two Months

Claims $30,000 top prize on Cash Lines scratch-off game

161-Cash-Lines-ITVMA 41-year-old man was all smiles when he finally claimed his $30,000 Maryland Lottery prize after two months of holding onto his winning scratch-off.

The construction worker purchased the Cash Lines scratch-off from Hyattsville Convenience Store in Hyattsville in May, but couldn’t find time to claim his prize because of his work schedule. The Prince George’s County resident kept the $3 ticket close to him at home, waiting for an opportunity to come to Lottery headquarters in Baltimore. The happy Silver Spring man was excited to finally have the money in the bank and to tell his family the good news.

A loyal player, he enjoys playing many types of Lottery games from scratch-offs to Keno. He has won small prizes before, but said this is his first huge win.

The Hyattsville Convenience Store, located at 2230 University Boulevard in Hyattsville, will receive a $300 bonus from the Lottery for selling the top-prize winning ticket.
