Silver Spring Man Wins $50,000 Playing Bonus Match 5

Popular game now has 22 top-prize winning tickets sold in 2019

A 47-year-old Maryland Lottery player from Silver Spring just claimed the 22nd $50,000 top prize awarded in the Bonus Match 5 game this year.

The Montgomery County man found his Lottery luck in the Jan. 16 drawing by playing a quick-pick ticket for the week of Jan. 12-18. Barnabas Liquor in Temple Hills sold the lucky ticket, which matched the five winning numbers of 8, 15, 31, 37 and 39.

The Prince George’s County retailer located at 4620 St. Barnabas Road also has reason to celebrate! The Lottery gave the store a bonus of $500 for selling a top-prize ticket in the daily game.
