Single Mom Screams with Joy Over Life-Changing Lottery Win

This Baltimore mom bought one quick-pick ticket and won $1.3 million!

Claims $1.3 million Multi-Match jackpot prize

“No way,” is what a single mother from Baltimore said to herself while looking at her winning $1.3 million Multi-Match jackpot ticket.

The 31-year-old had visited Woodlawn Sunoco before the Nov. 18 drawing to buy just one $2 quick-pick ticket. Being only an occasional Multi-Match player is what makes this life-changing win so special, said the five-year state employee.

The lucky lady, who nicknamed herself “Single Mom of Two” for her Lottery publicity, was at work when she remembered her Multi-Match ticket. She decided to go outside to her car to check the ticket for a win just in case she needed to scream. After scanning the ticket using the Maryland Lottery app on her phone, “Single Mom of Two” had 1.3 million reasons to scream with joy and that’s just what she did!

“I was screaming and thanking God,” the happy winner said. “Single Mom of Two” has won $5,000 playing Pick 4 before but nothing the size of this prize. Our winner is the sixth player to hit a Multi-Match jackpot in 2019.

The happy mom had purchased a house in June. She plans to pay off the mortgage, thanks to her jackpot win. “Single Mom of Two” also plans to take her children on a vacation and possibly start a business.

Her lucky Lottery retailer, Woodlawn Sunoco, also shares in the fortune. The store located at 6725 Dogwood Road in Woodlawn received a $1,300 bonus for selling a jackpot winning ticket over $1 million.
