Baltimore Man Takes Home $30,000 Prize
“You’ll have to excuse me,” said a 70-year-old Baltimore man as he glided into Lottery Headquarters as if floating on a cloud. “I got absolutely no sleep last night thinking about that ticket.” The lucky player was referring to his $30,000 winning Keno ticket.
The occasional Keno player was doing some shopping when he decided to purchase the Keno ticket. He normally plays Pick 3, but took a chance on an eight-spot Keno Bonus ticket yesterday. To his surprise, he won big. “I held in my screams and made my way home,” he said. The winner shared the good news with family members and then settled down for a sleepless night. He kept the winning ticket in his pants pocket all night.
The retired pharmacy employee was accompanied to Lottery Headquarters by his cousin and nephew. He also has an adult son that he plans to share the news with later. The player plans to help out some family with his winnings, buy a car and pay some bills. The winning ticket was purchased at Coopers Liquors, located at 568-70 Old Town Mall in Baltimore City.
