7-spot ticket purchased in Halethorpe restaurant gives player her biggest prize
Playing Keno while dining solo at a Halethorpe restaurant gave a Baltimore County woman more than 10,000 reasons to smile! She won $10,003 playing lucky numbers on a 7-spot Keno ticket.
The 73-year-old played five rounds of Keno with the numbers 41, 42, 43, 44, 46, 47 and 49. She added the Bonus multiplier feature to her ticket, too, which gave her the chance to boost any winnings by up to 10x the original amount.
All of her numbers matched in the second game, giving her $2,500 prize that quadrupled to $10,000 because of a 4x Bonus multiplier. The third game also was a winner, giving her a $1 prize for matching three numbers. That win turned into $3 with the 3x Bonus that was drawn for that game.
The loyal Lottery player said she didn’t let anyone at Oak Creek Café know about her lucky wins. When dinner was over and the bill was paid, “I quietly slipped out the door,” she said with a smile.
The Baltimore County resident said this was her biggest prize so far and she and her husband plan to pay bills with the windfall.
The retailer also has reason to celebrate. For selling a winning Keno ticket of $10,000 or more, Oak Creek Café located at 5309 East Drive in Halethorpe earns a $100 bonus from the Lottery – equal to 1 percent of the prize value.
