An East Coast road trip with stops in two states to play scratch-offs gave Louise Porter Taylor of South Carolina a spectacular story to share with relatives. She was traveling with Lottery luck by her side!
While en route to Maryland to attend a family reunion, the Cassatt resident bought a $500 winning scratch-off from the North Carolina Education Lottery. Heading north, she stopped at 7-Eleven #19083 in Ocean City and bought one $20 Diamond Spectacular scratch-off. Louise checked into her hotel room, scratched her Maryland ticket and discovered that she had a $10,000 winner!
The 53-year-old plays Pick 3/Pick 4 regularly and won numerous times. However, winning hasn’t gotten less exciting.
“I was so happy I couldn’t breathe,” Louise said. She was so happy about her big Maryland prize she told everyone at the family reunion. A resident assistant for seven years, the lucky winner plans to spend her prize on bills.
