“Blessing” will come in handy for family
A Baltimore County automotive worker got in gear for his $50,000 Powerball prize by using special dates for his lucky numbers and sending up a prayer. “God’s Blessing” came through on Feb. 18!
The special dates included his wedding date, first employment date and son’s birthday. The 52-year-old said he always plays the same numbers for Powerball and follows the same routine. “Every morning, I pray that I have the winning numbers,” said the father. “This is truly a blessing for me and my family.”
The Baltimore man, who nicknamed his lucky win “God’s Blessing,” took his Powerball tickets to a grocery store after the Feb. 18 drawing to check for winners. Very quickly, the scanner delivered the great news that he was on the road to riches. Unsure how much he’d won, the loyal player immediately signed the back of the ticket and headed home. He used the Maryland Lottery App to scan his ticket at home to determine its value. “My son and I checked it again to confirm we were both reading it correctly,” he said.
The happy man plans to use “God’s Blessing” to pay off bills and help other family members. He also plans to keep playing until he hits a big jackpot! His winning Powerball ticket came from Chadwick Liquors located at 7005 Security Blvd. in Baltimore County. The retailer is one of several he frequents.
