Spur of the Moment Decision Pays Off

$30,000 Scratch-Off  Win for Baltimore Man

Justin Kosyjana - X-treme WinningsJustin Kosyjana told Lottery officials today that he almost never plays the agency’s games.  He works in a store that sells tickets and has seen customers and co-workers win frequently, but he rarely gets the urge.  Luckily for Justin, “almost never” and “rarely” does allow for the occasional purchase and in his case, that purchase resulted in a $30,000 win.

A grocery manager at a Baltimore Super Fresh supermarket, Justin was just starting his shift when a co-worker who was heading to the Lottery’s instant ticket vending machine invited him to join her.  He decided to play, buying five instant tickets, among them X-Treme Winnings.  He handed the tickets to his friend to scratch.  “When she told me about the $30,000 I was sure she was joking.  I just couldn’t believe it.”  A quick call to his mom was met with similar disbelief.  “She told me she didn’t have time for foolishness, she almost hung up on me,” he joked.

Justin’s lucky Super Fresh is located at 1238 Putty Hill Rd. in Towson.  He plans to pay-off a recently purchased car with his winnings.
