Annapolis resident buys lucky quick-pick ticket at Anne Arundel County gas station
When you play Keno, you never know when the numbers will come up in your favor. So, a Keno regular from Annapolis said he usually buys two tickets when he plays his favorite Lottery game. One includes a set of his lucky numbers. The other is randomly quick-picked by the Lottery terminal.
On Aug. 29, random chance did the trick.
The Anne Arundel County resident’s quick-pick, 8-spot ticket delivered a $50,000 prize. The ticket covered three draws, and he added the Super Bonus option, bringing his cost to $9. On the last of the three draws, all eight of his numbers were among the 20 drawn. That gave the lucky player a base prize of $10,000. The Super Bonus multiplier drawn for that game was 5 – quintupling his prize to $50,000!
The 64-year-old winner purchased his ticket at Broadneck Exxon, located at 317 Busch’s Frontage Road in Annapolis. For selling a winning Keno ticket valued at $10,000 or more, the retailer earns a $500 bonus from the Lottery – equal to 1 percent of the prize value.
