Super Bonus Leads to Super Prize for Laurel Grandmother

Wins $40,000 Playing Keno

Keno Super BonusAn 84-year-old grandmother from Laurel credits her son for her recent $40,000 Keno win. It was on Sunday, when the lucky player asked her son to play her Lottery numbers for her. He played her regular Pick 3 and Pick 4, but also decided to go ahead and purchase a Keno ticket too, a game his mother only plays occasionally. “I just picked some numbers in order and played an eight spot with the Super Bonus,” said the son, who accompanied his mother to Lottery Headquarters to claim her prize.

By playing the Super Bonus option the $10,000 win grew to $40,000. But, the man didn’t initially realize the size of his mother’s prize.  “I knew it was big because the ticket scanner said “See Agent”, but I had no idea how much she’d won,” he said.

He quickly rushed to tell his mother the news. “I couldn’t be more excited,” she told Lottery officials.  “I just wanted to scream even though I still didn’t know how much it was. I almost fainted when the Lottery official told me the amount I’d won.”
