Day after day, the avid scratch-off player returned to his favorite retailer to play that specific ticket. At first the man had very little luck playing the ticket, but good fortune eventually came his way. The 29-year-old visited the store on a Saturday with the intent to win. “I tried to leave, but I couldn’t. Something made me keep playing.”
Could that something be Lady Luck? When he scratched off the $50,000 winning ticket in the store, the lucky winner immediately showed the ticket to the store owner to share his happiness.
“I was so excited I couldn’t sleep Saturday night,” he said. “All night, I couldn’t sleep.”
The Baltimore County man hid the ticket at home and went to work as if nothing had happened. He has told no one of his win, other than the clerk, and plans to keep his win top secret. His winnings will go to pay his credit card bills and other debts.
