Takes home biggest win in the state in Nov. 30 drawing
A Reisterstown teacher who bought Powerball tickets at Wegmans #125 in Owings Mills for the Nov. 30 drawing is now heading that Maryland class of winning Powerball players. She won the state’s top prize of $100,000!
The lucky 46-year-old matched four of her five numbers plus the Power Ball to become one of 22 Powerball players nationwide to win a third-tier prize in the drawing. She was one of 12,184 Maryland players who won a prize that night. However, because she added the Power Play feature to her $6 quick-pick ticket, the Baltimore County resident saw the multiplier boost her grand total to $100,000!
The happy winner, who has only shared the news with her husband, didn’t realize her luck until she took her tickets to a Lottery retailer to scan them on the ticket checker. After seeing the message sending her to Lottery headquarters to cash the prize, the winner looked up the numbers online and realized her luck! She plans to put her prize in the bank.
