The Week in Winners: Hancock Man Wins $100,000; Worcester County Winner Celebrates $50,000 Prize

Nearly $23.3 million in prizes won Sept. 9-15 across the state

Maryland Lottery players won or claimed nearly $23.3 million in prizes from Sept. 9-15, highlighted by a player from Hancock who scratched for a $100,000 prize and another who bought a ticket in Pocomoke City and won $50,000.

The $100,000 prize was on The Money Game $10 scratch-off and the winning ticket was sold at the AC&T store #350 at 11079 Big Pool Road in Big Pool.

The $50,000 winner was on the $5 scratch-off game Super Bonus Bucks. The winning ticket was purchased at Newtown Market, 123 Newtown Boulevard, in Pocomoke City.

In all, 13 tickets worth $10,000 or more were sold or claimed in the seven days ending Sept. 15, including 10 scratch-offs and three draw game tickets.

Thousands of other people won amounts ranging from a few dollars to a few thousand dollars. On average, Maryland Lottery players won more than $3.7 million a day in Fiscal Year 2019.

The Maryland Lottery encourages players to check their tickets by scanning them at any Lottery retailer or with the Lottery’s mobile apps. Draw game winners have 182 days from the date of a drawing to claim their prizes. For scratch-off games, winners have 182 days from the announced end-of-game date to claim prizes, with last claim dates published in the scratch-off section of mdlottery.com.
