The Week in Winners: Lottery Makes New Millionaires in Perry Hall and Waldorf

Players across Maryland won or claimed $29 million during the week ending Sept. 20

Two Maryland Lottery players became millionaires in the past week – one in Perry Hall, the other in Waldorf.

A Multi-Match ticket purchased Sept. 16 in Waldorf was good for a $1.15 million jackpot in the Sept. 17 drawing. The anonymous winner visited Lottery headquarters on the morning of Sept. 21 and claimed the prize. Another anonymous winner claimed a $2 million scratch-off prize on Sept. 18 on a $2,000,000 Richer ticket purchased in Perry Hall.

In all, Lottery players won or claimed more than $29 million in the seven days ending Sept. 20, including 32 tickets worth $10,000 or more that were either sold or claimed during that span.

The Maryland Lottery Claims Center in Baltimore is open by appointment only. Lottery prizes up to and including $25,000 can be claimed at five of Maryland’s six casinos with no appointment necessary. Prizes of $25,001 or more must be claimed by appointment at the Lottery Claims Center in Baltimore. More information is available on the How To Claim page of mdlottery.com.
