The Week in Winners: Maryland Lottery Players Win $100,000 Prizes in Hagerstown, Oxon Hill, Wheaton

Nearly $27.3 million in prizes collected Sept. 2-8 across the state

Maryland Lottery players won or claimed nearly $27.3 million in prizes from Sept. 2-8, highlighted by three players who bought scratch-offs in Hagerstown, Oxon Hill and Wheaton and won $100,000 each.

In all, 22 tickets worth $10,000 or more were sold or claimed in the seven days ending Sept. 8, including 16 scratch-offs and six draw game tickets.

Also, as of Sept. 8, a $50,000 winning Powerball ticket and two Mega Millions tickets worth $10,000 each were unclaimed; the tickets were sold in Baltimore, Lutherville and Bryans Road.

Thousands of other people won amounts ranging from a few dollars to a few thousand dollars. On average, Maryland Lottery players won more than $3.7 million a day in Fiscal Year 2019.

The Maryland Lottery encourages players to check their tickets by scanning them at any Lottery retailer or with the Lottery’s mobile apps. Winners have 182 days from the date of a drawing to claim their prizes. For scratch-off games, winners have 182 days from the announced end-of-game date to claim prizes, with last claim dates published in the scratch-off section of mdlottery.com.
