The Week in Winners: Scratch-off Sold in Dundalk Pays $1 Million; More Big Wins Across the State

Maryland Lottery players won or claimed $32.1 million for the week ending July 12

It was a week of big Lottery wins and claims across the state, highlighted by a $1 million scratch-off sold in Dundalk. In addition, the week was highlighted by a $500,000 winner in the Charles County community of Faulkner, a Multi-Match ticket worth $243,683 sold in Dundalk and five more tickets worth $100,000 each sold in Bowie, Highlandtown, Hyattsville, Lexington Park and Ocean City.

In all, Lottery winners won or claimed more than $32.1 million in the seven days ending July 12, with a total of 48 tickets worth $10,000 or more being sold or claimed during that span.

The Maryland Lottery Claims Center in Baltimore is open by appointment only. The Claims Center was closed from March 30 to June 24 due to COVID-19. During that time, winning tickets worth more than $5,000 could only be redeemed by mail, and many winners instead opted to hold on to their tickets and wait until the Claims Center reopened.

Lottery prizes up to and including $25,000 can be claimed at five of Maryland’s six casinos with no appointment necessary. Prizes of $25,001 or more must be claimed by appointment at the Lottery Claims Center in Baltimore. More information is available on the How To Claim page of
