Players in Maryland won or claimed $30.1 million during the week ending Aug. 9
Scratch-off players in Cumberland and Upper Marlboro picked up $100,000 each, a FAST PLAY purchase returned $86,525 in Catonsville and a JAMES BOND 007™ ticket delivered a $50,000 prize in Elkridge last week.
In addition, two Powerball tickets worth $50,000 each, and sold in Germantown and Parkville, were unclaimed as of Aug. 10.
In all, Lottery players won or claimed nearly $30.1 million in the seven days ending Aug. 9, with 25 tickets worth $10,000 or more either being sold or claimed during that span.
The Maryland Lottery Claims Center in Baltimore is open by appointment only. Lottery prizes up to and including $25,000 can be claimed at five of Maryland’s six casinos with no appointment necessary. Draw game winners have 182 days from the date of a drawing to claim their prizes, and scratch-off winners have 182 days from the announced end-of-game date, though there is a grace period for tickets that expire during the COVID-19 state of emergency.
