Baltimore Couple Wins $50,000 on Gold Bar Bonus Scratch-Off Ticket
This past Wednesday, while stopped at a local gas station, a Baltimore couple decided to play a couple of scratch-offs. They bought two tickets that day — a Gold Bar Bonus and a Platinum Rewards ticket. To their surprise, the Gold Bar Bonus turned out to be a $50,000 winner.
The boyfriend, a 31-year-old Baltimore City employee, said he scratched the ticket in the car, while his girlfriend was having a conversation with a friend. “I told her that I thought we won and showed it to her,” he said. His girlfriend was equally astonished and a bit confused. “We were so excited that we could not add it up,” she said. “Once we did, we saw that everything was a match.”
The couple took home the ticket and kept it on the nightstand over night. They both agreed that sleeping was a bit difficult. They will split the $50,000 prize. They plan to use the winnings towards some bills and save the rest.
The winning ticket was purchased at the Royal Farms located at 1440 Key Highway in Baltimore City.
