Ghana native Edward Senah collected a $30,000 prize while vacationing in Maryland.
Vacationer wins Bonus Crossword top prize
A 37-year-old Ghana native is now a big fan of the Maryland Lottery. While visiting the state in recent weeks, Edward Senah has enjoyed playing scratch-offs and is taking home more than just Maryland memories. He purchased several Bonus Crossword instant tickets from Odenton Liquors earlier this week and walked away with a $30,000 winner!
The world traveler scratched the $3 instant ticket while still in the Anne Arundel County store and asked the retailer to scan it to see how much he won.
“I thought it was going to be a $300 winner,” Edward told Lottery officials with a smile. “I was shocked when I heard it was a $30,000 winning ticket.”
The happy player was quick to call and share the news with his children, who were equally excited about the big win.
Edward and his family are not the only ones celebrating. Odenton Liquors located at 1115 Annapolis Road will receive a $300 bonus from the Lottery for selling a top-prize winning scratch-off. Our winner left plenty of prizes in the Bonus Crossword game, which still has four $30,000 top prizes remaining.
