Two Laborers Win Big on Labor Day

Wins a $100,000 Top Prize Playing a Redline Bingo Tripler Scratch-off

A 44-year-old Waldorf man, who happens to be a laborer by trade, didn’t get much rest during the Labor Day holiday. He won a $100,000 prize playing a Redline Bingo Tripler scratch-off. The ecstatic man told Lottery officials that he was up all night after he found out he had won. He said that he’s played the Lottery a few times and only decided to play a few scratch-offs after watching his good friend, who accompanied him to Lottery headquarters, have so much fun playing.

“If it weren’t for my buddy sitting there, I would not be sitting here,” he said. “That’s why we’re splitting the money.”

The lucky winner said besides splitting the winnings with his friend, he may take a much needed trip and invest the rest. As for the winner’s friend, who is a 29-year-old laborer also from Waldorf, he said he was extremely happy because now he could put money towards purchasing a house.

The winning ticket was purchased at Cooks Laundromat on Pisctaway Drive in Clinton in Prince Georges County.
