Two Retailers Sell $50,000 Winning Bonus Match 5 Tickets

Players score back-to-back top-prize wins in Jan. 25, 26 drawings

Two lucky Bonus Match 5 players have a blizzard of bucks coming their way after buying $50,000 top-prize-winning tickets in the Jan. 25 and Jan. 26 drawings.

Universal Preston at 101 Maple Avenue in Preston sold the winning ticket in the Friday, Jan. 25 drawing. That lucky ticket sold at the Caroline County retailer matches the five numbers of 8, 22, 29, 33 and 38; the Bonus Ball was 13.

Landover Hills Exxon at 6579 Annapolis Road in Landover sold the winning ticket in the Saturday, Jan. 26 drawing. The winning ticket sold in Prince George’s County matches the numbers of 14, 23, 35, 36 and 38; the Bonus Ball was 16.

Lottery officials urge the winners to sign the backs of their tickets and keep them someplace safe until they can claim their prizes. Winners have 182 days from the date of the drawing to make their claims, and must come in person to Lottery headquarters at 1800 Washington Blvd. in Baltimore.

The retailers also earn a bonus of $500 each for selling the lucky tickets.

Bonus Match 5 drawings take place seven days a week. Players select five numbers ranging from 1 to 39. The Bonus Ball drawn from the remaining 34 numbers provides extra chances to win. Your ticket is a winner if you match five, four or three of the original five winning numbers selected in the drawing. If you match the Bonus Ball number, you only need to match four, three or two of your original numbers to win!
