Fort Washington, Gaithersburg retailers sell lucky tickets
Two Bonus Match 5 players will soon wear smiles from ear to ear when they discover they’ve won the $50,000 top prize in the Monday, June 22 drawing! The Maryland Lottery is looking for the lucky players who bought winning tickets from retailers in Fort Washington and Gaithersburg.
The winning tickets match the five numbers of 7, 11, 19, 27, 31; the Bonus Ball was 17. Lottery officials urge the two winners to sign the back of the tickets and put them in a safe place. The winners have 182 days to claim the prize and must come in person to Lottery headquarters at 1800 Washington Blvd. in Baltimore.
The retailers are also winners! The lucky stores are Safeway #1882 at 990 Swan Creek Road in Fort Washington and Brighton Beer & Wine at 225 Muddy Branch Road in Gaithersburg. The Lottery will give each retailer a bonus of $500 for selling the lucky ticket.
Bonus Match 5 drawings take place seven days a week. Players select five numbers ranging from one to 39. The Bonus Ball drawn from the remaining 34 numbers provides extra chances to win. Your ticket is a winner if you match five, four or three of the original five winning numbers selected in the drawing. If you match the Bonus Ball number, you only need to match four, three or two of your original numbers to win!
