Claims $10,010 prize on 7-spot wager
Cumberland’s Harold Howell was bowled over when he played 10 rounds of Keno at White Oak Lanes last week and landed his first big win of $10,010.
The 67-year-old is an avid bowler who has hit the lanes regularly for about 15 years. The U.S. Army veteran plays several times a week at White Oak Lanes, where he found his lucky Keno strike on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
“It was a great night of bowling,” he said. Taking a break, Harold placed a 7-spot bet with the Super Bonus multiplier using numbers 1, 11, 13, 24, 51, 69 and 70. He bet those numbers for 10 drawings and almost fainted when the Keno monitor showed match after match! The Super Bonus was 4, boosting his prize to $10,010.
Harold has already shared news of his exciting win with others and plans to pay off his home and buy a new refrigerator with his prize.
White Oak Lanes located at 1649 Old Town Road in Cumberland also shares in his good fortune. The bowling alley earns a $100 bonus from the Lottery for selling a winning Keno ticket of $10,000 or more. The bonus is equal to 1 percent of the prize.
