Wilson Ramos Pineda of Bel Air found his $100,000 win playing the WILLY WONKA GOLDEN TICKET™ scratch game.
Bel Air couple nabs WILLY WONKA GOLDEN TICKET™ game’s top prize
Wilson Ramos Pineda of Bel Air sure is happy that he splurged on the purchase of a $10 scratch-off. The winning WILLY WONKA GOLDEN TICKET™ that he bought two weeks ago delivered a $100,000 top prize.
His winning encounter started normally enough. Wilson, his wife and daughter were returning from a drive when they decided that they each needed a cold drink. He stopped at the first convenience store he saw, 7-Eleven #11620 in Bel Air. While waiting to pay for the beverages, Wilson noticed the store’s Lottery display.
“It’s rare that I buy a Lottery ticket and I have never spent $10 on one, but for some reason it felt right,” he said. Still hesitant, he looked to his wife. “ ‘Go ahead, let’s splurge,’ she said, so I did.”
Scratching off the WILLY WONKA GOLDEN TICKET™ in the store, he immediately noticed a $100 win. “I couldn’t believe it, a hundred bucks!” It was then that Wilson’s wife pointed out the three extra zeros.
The couple were still having trouble believing that Lottery luck came their way and gave them a $100,000 prize. “None of this seems real,” Wilson admitted. The 30-year-old federal employee and his wife have not decided how their newfound fortune will fit into their lives, other than planning to share some funds with their family.
Four more top prizes are unclaimed in the WILLY WONKA GOLDEN TICKET game, which debuted in March and has a second-chance promotion. Players can enter non-winning scratch-offs into My Lottery Rewards to try their luck with the Everlasting Million Second-Chance Promotion. Second-chance winners will receive a four-day, three-night trip to Las Vegas, $1,000 spending money and a chance to participate in the EVERLASTING MILLION CHALLENGE™ event. The Las Vegas event gives players a chance to win a cash prize from $1,000 up to a lifetime prize of $1 million a year. The final entry deadlines are Aug. 16 and Sept. 6.
The management at the Bel Air 7-Eleven can celebrate the family’s big win, too. The retailer located at 214 Baltimore Pike earned a $1,000 bonus for selling the top-prize winning scratch-off.
