West Virginia Woman Goes Loco Over Big Keno Win

Claims $10,000 prize on 6-spot wager

A lucky West Virginia woman reports that it didn’t take much for Keno to become one of her favorite Maryland Lottery games – and that was even before her $10,000 win on a 6-spot bet!

Keno is a good game to play,” she said. “I tried it one time and it grew on me.”

The 85-year-old plays several times a week at her local retailer, K&S Liquors, in Rawlings near the West Virginia border. Her wild and crazy celebration began the day she pulled up the Lottery website to check two Keno tickets bought earlier at the store.

“I went crazy,” she said. “I had a fit! I acted like a nut when I found that I had won.”

Her lucky numbers were 3, 13, 23, 33, 43 and 53; she added the Super Bonus feature to multiply any winnings. The retired West Virginian has only shared her good news with her daughter and son-in-law. She says that she has not thought about what she plans to do with her prize.

Her lucky retailer is located at 25207 McMullen Highway in Rawlings. For selling a winning Keno ticket of $10,000 or more, K&S Liquors earned a $100 bonus from the Lottery – equal to 1 percent of the prize.
