Scratch-off game still has two $1 million top-prizes remaining
Deli shops are notorious for their outstanding cold cuts and delicious sandwiches, but Galleria Deli will now be known for selling winning Lottery tickets. Last Friday, a Westminster man who typically plays Racetrax, tested his luck with a few scratch-off tickets. The change of pace worked out as he scratched his way to a $50,000 prize on a MONOPOLY scratch-off.
Instead of scratching the entire ticket, the Carroll County resident scratched only the “Prize Check” on all five tickets and individually scanned each one hoping to find a big win. As each ticket scanned without a large win, his hope started to dwindle until he saw the message sending him to Lottery headquarters to cash the prize. The lucky winner told Lottery officials that he plans to pay bills and save the rest of his winnings.
The 69-year-old purchased his winning ticket at Galleria Deli, located at 1419 York Rd in Lutherville. There are three unclaimed $50,000 MONOPOLY scratch-off prizes remaining, as well as two $1 million top prizes.
