Prince George’s County resident finds $10,000 prize on $10 game
An Adelphi great-grandmother who liked the looks of the Maryland Lottery’s Neon x20 scratch-off became a huge fan of that game after her $10,000 win.
The 56-year-old homemaker bought one of the $10 instant tickets at the Langley Park Exxon at 1348 University Boulevard in Hyattsville and took it home, as she always does, to play.
“I like to stay home and take my time with it,” she said. The mother of four adult children and grandmother of 10 began laughing and celebrating after revealing her win. “We had very happy times.”
The Prince George’s County resident plans to spend her prize on home improvements. The Neon x20 game still has two unclaimed $100,000 top prizes, one $20,000 prize, three $10,000 prizes and thousands of additional prizes from $10 to $1,000 waiting to be discovered at Lottery retailers.
