The loyal player bought his winning quick-pick ticket in the Jan. 1 drawing at College Park Gulf gas station located at 9891 Rhode Island Avenue. The 56-year-old usually waits for big jackpots before he buys tickets and he jumped at the opportunity to chase a $401 million jackpot in the Jan. 1 drawing, As a result, he won the $50,000 windfall to help his family.

“I was hoping for just one more number,” the winner said, “but I’m very happy and excited for this win.” The lucky player has bagged prizes playing Pick 4 in the past, but this is his largest and most exciting win yet.
