Claims Top Prize on Prize Line Bingo Scratch-off
A Woodstock man got the shock of his life when he pulled a worn Maryland Lottery scratch-off out of his wallet at Lottery headquarters in Baltimore to see how much money he’d won.
The small-business owner had no clue, until he had the Lottery claims paperwork in hand, that the months-old winning Prize Line Bingo scratch-off was worth $40,000!
“I didn’t even know,” said the 58-year-old Howard County man. “This is awesome.”
He rarely plays Lottery scratch-offs but was filling in at one of his stores and business was slow. He decided to pass the time playing a complex scratch-off. He bought the $3 Prize Line Bingo scratch-off because it has multiple bingo boards to play. When he saw the scratch-off was a winner, he took it to a store to cash it but the ticket was worth more than the store’s $600 cashing limit. The busy owner of six retail stores in the region, our winner simply tucked the scratch-off into his wallet and waited until he could come to headquarters to claim his prize.
He has no idea how he will spend his winnings, our winner said. He found his good fortune at the Tobacco Stop at 400 W. Lexington Street in Baltimore.
