Aficionados of ancient history are familiar with the phrase “Beware the Ides of March.” That famous line of dialogue from Shakespeare may also be worth passing along to someone who bought a Powerball ticket back in September. On March 15, a $1 million Powerball ticket sold in Clinton is set to expire.
The big ticket was sold at Chesapeake Liquors at 8853 Branch Avenue from the Sept. 13, 2025 Powerball drawing. The winning ticket matched all five white balls, but not the Powerball, making it a second-tier $1 million winner.
The Powerball ticket in Clinton is the largest of several high-value tickets that remain unclaimed as of today (Feb. 12). Others include:
- A $50,000 Powerball ticket sold at Liberty Road Liquors at 1708 Liberty Road in Sykesville for the Sept. 6, 2025 drawing is set to expire March 7.
