The Mega Millions jackpot continues to grow as no one matched all six numbers, but a Maryland player who matched five of six in last night’s drawing is holding a ticket worth $30,000.
The ticket was sold at the Seat Pleasant BP gas station at 5818 Martin Luther King Jr. Highway in Seat Pleasant.
The winning numbers for the July 14 Mega Millions drawing are: 2, 4, 10, 48, and 56, with a Mega Ball of 22.
The winning ticket matched four of the first five balls drawn, as well as the Mega Ball for a third-tier win. The base prize for a third-tier win is $10,000, but the player had an automatic X3 multiplier, increasing the prize to $30,000.
No one has won the jackpot since March 17, so the top prize has increased after each drawing since then. Friday night’s jackpot has an estimated annuity value of $672 million with an estimated one-time payment option of $293.3 million. If the Mega Millions jackpot gets hit on Friday at $672 million, it would be the 10th-largest jackpot in the game’s history.
Mega Millions players in Maryland have won more than $4.6 million in prizes since the last jackpot was hit on March 17. That includes the $30,000 win last night in Seat Pleasant and seven $20,000 prizes. Two of those $20,000 wins have not been claimed as of this morning (July 15):
- Ticket sold June 7 at Xtra Fuel, 8721 Baltimore Avenue in College Park
- Ticket sold June 23 at 7-Eleven, 20211 Goshen Road in Gaithersburg
Winners are encouraged to sign the backs of tickets and keep winning tickets in a safe location. Tickets for draw games expire 182 days after the drawing. The last date to claim scratch-offs is listed on the game’s tile on the scratch-off page.
