$50,000 Winning Powerball Ticket Sold in Oakland

Western Maryland third-tier winner is sixth of the past week

The Powerball jackpot continues to roll as there was no winner in last night’s drawing, but Marylanders scored their sixth third-tier win in a week – this time in Garrett County.

The $50,000 winning ticket was sold at Luke’s Convenience, trading as Luke’s Liquors, located at 435 North 3rd Street in Oakland.

The winning numbers from the Monday, Oct. 21 drawing are 1, 25, 57, 62 and 64; the Powerball was 15 and the Power Play multiplier x2. Maryland had 12,229 winners of prizes ranging from $4 to $50,000 and 2,241 Power Play winners. The estimated jackpot annuity for the next drawing on Wednesday, Oct. 23, is $478 million with an estimated cash option of $230.5 million.

The holder of the Western Maryland winning ticket is the 50th third-tier Maryland Powerball winner of 2024 and the sixth $50,000 Powerball winner in a week.

Lottery officials encourage all winners to sign the backs of their tickets immediately and put them in a safe location. They get 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.
