Third-tier win in Nov. 6 drawing is 53rd in Maryland during 2024
Check your Powerball tickets from Wednesday’s drawing because you could be a $50,000 third-tier prize winner! Even though no one hit the jackpot, there were 7,895 winning tickets sold in Maryland for the Nov. 6 drawing with prizes ranging from $4 to $50,000.
Kaywood Liquors located at 2205 Varnum Street in Mt. Rainier sold the $50,000-winning ticket. The winning numbers to match were 12, 17, 37, 58 and 62; the Powerball was 4 and the Power Play multiplier was x2.
The Powerball jackpot rolled to an estimated $92 million for the Saturday, Nov. 9 drawing, with an estimated cash option of $43.4 million. In 2024, the Maryland Lottery has sold seven $1 million second-tier winning Powerball tickets; 53 third-tier winning tickets worth $50,000 to $150,000; and six Powerball Double Play winning tickets with prizes of $50,000 to $500,000.
Lottery officials encourage winners to sign the backs of their tickets immediately and put them in a safe location. They get 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.
