Annapolis Business Owner Wins $125,985 on FAST PLAY Lucky Numbers

An Annapolis man who likes to purchase Lottery tickets on a weekly schedule has a personal tradition of checking them days later. As a result, it was about a week between when he instantly won $125,985 on the FAST PLAY Lucky Numbers game and when he realized he had been keeping a valuable slip of paper in his truck.

“I brought it, put it in my truck and didn’t check it for a few days,” he said Nov. 14 when he claimed the prize at Lottery headquarters in Baltimore.

The player, a business owner, said when he did scan the ticket, the message “Go to Lottery” came up. Initially, he had no idea what that meant. Ever since he found out it meant he was a big winner, he has referred to it as “his lucky day.”

The Anne Arundel County resident plans to put some of his winnings towards his business and use the rest to travel with his family.

“We might take a vacation, but I need to find a week when the kids are off school,” he said with a smile.

The big winner said usually buys tickets on Monday and Friday and likes to practice responsible gaming by sticking to his plan.

“I like to set a budget with the Lottery,” he added.

Quik Mart, a convenience store at 2042 West Street in Annapolis, sold the winning FAST PLAY ticket and receives a $1,000 bonus as a result.

The $10 instant game Lucky Numbers went on stale starting July 7, 2025 and this is 25th progressive jackpot winner to be hit on the game.

The FAST PLAY Lucky Numbers progressive jackpot game has 15 progressive jackpots remaining, having started with 40. The jackpot resets at $100,000. There are also 25 prizes of $50,000 remaining, along with thousands of lower tier prizes ranging from $10 to $10,000.
