A woman from the Cumberland area of Allegany County got a $100,000 surprise May 1 when she bought a FAST PLAY Big Win ticket at a Sheetz convenience store.
The win was the fourth of 24 top prizes available on the game.
The first thing she did, she said, was call her dad, who accompanied her when she claimed May 6 at Lottery headquarters in Baltimore.
“I was excited! Let’s go to Baltimore,” the dad recalled saying when he got the news.
The winner said she has no immediate plans for the windfall.
The $100,000 winning ticket was purchased at the Sheetz store at 429 Virginia Avenue in Cumberland. The retailer will receive a $1,000 bonus for selling the top-prize-winning ticket.
