A quick trip to the store turned into a $200,000 surprise for an Annapolis small business owner who won the prize on a Ravens X10 scratch-off.
The casual Lottery player stopped at the 7-Eleven located at1527 Forest Drive in Annapolis to pick up a ticket. Her husband is the more frequent player in the family, but she decided to take a shot at winning on the $10 ticket.
On her way back to her car, where her husband was waiting, she began scratching the ticket. By the time she got into the vehicle, she had finished scratching but was unsure whether she had won. She handed him the ticket to inspect.
When he saw the football symbol on the ticket, he immediately knew she had a winning ticket.
“We were both in shock,” recalled the winner when she claimed her prize at Lottery Headquarters on August 14. Her husband was by her side.
The couple, who are parents of two young daughters, are often busy with play dates and family activities.
They plan to use the money towards paying off their home and spending more time with family.
This is the first $200,000 top prize claimed since the Ravens X10 launched in July. There are three $200,000 top prizes remaining. Many other prizes are still unclaimed including four $50,000, nine $10,000 and tens of thousands of other prizes ranging from $10 to $1,000.
7-Eleven will receive a $1,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
Players can enter the Ravens second-chance promotion by entering non-winning Ravens scratch-offs into their My Lottery Rewards accounts. They can then select which prize drawings they would like to enter. The next drawing will take place on Aug. 24. The second-chance prizes available throughout the promotion are season tickets for 20 years, $10,000 cash, an away trip with the team to the Carolina Panthers game in Charlotte on Nov. 22, season tickets for 2026, Pass for Cash on-field experience, Champions Club passes for one game this season and Fan of the Game.
