Purchased scratch-off because of its unusual play style
Baltimore City woman’s adventurous nature paid off when she decided to give the symbol-matching Loteria™ scratch-off a try. She’s a $30,000 top-prize winner!
The lucky lady stopped to purchase a scratch-off at the 7-Eleven located at 4401 Belair Road in Baltimore. She was browsing her options and saw the unusual instant ticket.
“It was different. It just stood out to me,” she said.
The $3 game is based on the popular board game. Players scratch off the caller’s cards and the bonus caller’s card to reveal 15 symbols. They then match their symbols to the game board.
Our winner had La Luna, the moon symbol, as a bonus caller’s card. That symbol was positioned under the $30,000 box on the board.
“My mother noticed that I was a winner and told me,” recalled the excited player.
The East Baltimore mother said she is undecided on how she is going to spend her windfall.
This is the second top-prize winner in the game. A Kingsville woman recently claimed the first top prize. Plenty of prizes remain. There are still six unclaimed $30,000 top-prize winning scratch-offs remaining along with other prizes ranging from $3 to $5,000.
Her lucky 7-Eleven also gets to share in the excitement. The Baltimore City store receives a $300 bonus from the Lottery for selling the $30,000 top-prize winning instant ticket.
