“Big Fish” of Windsor Mill hooked a $25,000 Pick 5 prize playing his little brother’s license plate numbers.
Lucky winner struck gold in March 29 drawing
An anonymous Windsor Mill man, who dubbed himself “Big Fish” to tell his winning Pick 5 story, hooked a $25,000 prize by playing his little brother’s license plate numbers in eight drawings.
The lucky ticket, for eight 50-cent straight bets, covered the midday and evening drawings from March 29 through April 1. His winning numbers – 2, 6, 6, 6 and 4 – hit in the March 29 evening drawing.
The daily Lottery player is a fan of the Pick 3, Pick 4, Pick 5 and Multi-Match games. “Big Fish” said that he plays often because he likes winning and enjoys collecting the cash prizes.
The material handler was “totally surprised” when he realized that he won. “Big Fish” said that he had to check the numbers multiple times and even reached out to the Maryland Lottery to make sure that he didn’t read the numbers incorrectly.
At the moment, “Big Fish” has no definite plans for his prize. He may pay some bills, get some car maintenance done or give some money to his five siblings.
The venue that “Big Fish” purchased his ticket from, Liberty Wine & Spirits at 3526 Brenbrook Drive in Randallstown, will also benefit from his win. The Baltimore County retailer receives a $250 bonus from the Lottery for selling the $25,000-winning ticket.
