Dundalk Lottery player claims first FAST PLAY Super 777 progressive jackpot prize worth $685,656.
A longtime Maryland Lottery player is celebrating a huge windfall after taking home the first progressive jackpot on the FAST PLAY Super 777 game. The winner, who chose to remain anonymous and use the nickname “Blessed”, claimed a $685,656 prize at Maryland Lottery headquarters, marking a milestone moment in his more than two decades of playing.
The Baltimore County man shared that he traditionally favors scratch-off games, but after hearing about recent FAST PLAY success stories, he decided to give it a try. His winning day started with a bit of luck. He found some extra cash in his car and used it to purchase a $5 scratch-off ticket, which turned out to be a $20 winner. He then used that $20 to purchase a FAST PLAY Super 777 ticket featuring a progressive jackpot.
When he scanned the ticket at the store, the message read: “Take to Maryland Lottery headquarters”. As an experienced player, he immediately recognized that something big had happened.
“I knew I had hit something significant,” he told Lottery officials. Since discovering his win, he has shared the news with his family and plans to use the prize to ensure his children and grandchildren enjoy a memorable summer vacation. He also intends to invest a large portion of the winnings to help secure his family’s future.
When asked whether he plans to continue playing, he smiled and looked toward his family before responding, “Yes, I think so, but for now, I’d like to enjoy this win. I’ve never won this much money.”
The winning ticket was sold at Quick Mart at 7900 Wise Avenue in Dundalk. The retailer will receive a bonus of $685.65 for selling the progressive jackpot-winning ticket.
